      And that's not all: Eckernförde offers the "total package". The lively old town and the romantic harbor are practically just around the corner. It is only a few steps from the cozy beach life on the four-kilometer-long, beautiful sandy beach to the lively nightlife or exciting boat trips. This rare combination is what makes our traditional Baltic Sea resort so special.



      The main beach stretches from the transition between the harbor and beach promenade to the beginning of the dog beach. Here you will find the main part of the beach chair fields, the Baltic Sea information center, a large pirate play ship, beach basketball hoops, a beach soccer field, two beach playgrounds, beach volleyball fields, the DLRG main guard, the Eckernförde diving and rowing club, restaurants, the Kurpark, the Spa shell, the seawater wave pool, the "Hot Spot" sauna, the Baltic Sea golf course, two piers and the main tourist information. Here you can also rent beach chairs and barbecue areas.
