FHH area "South coast of Eckernförde Bay and offshore flats"
The Fauna-Flora-Habitat (FFH) area "South coast of Eckernförde Bay and offshore flats" covers a narrow coastal strip on the south side of Eckernförde Bay with an area of 8,238 hectares. On the seaward side, it includes the offshore flats "Stollergrund" and "Mittelgrund" and on land the nature reserve (NSG) "Bewaldete Düne bei Noer". The FFH area has a maximum east-west extension of approx. 27 km and stretches from Eckernförde's south beach in the west to Strande in the east.

You can either hike along the shore or you can climb one of the ascents and have a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea all the time.
