The Williams railway station is the southern terminus of the Grand Canyon Railway line that gets you to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The first train arrived at the South Rim in 1901 that made visiting the Grand Canyon very popular for tourists. Since most visitors today come with their own cars, the train service is very limited, but still available. At least once a day, trains depart from Williams south of the canyon.
