At 2,958 meters, the Zopetscharte in the Venediger Group in East Tyrol marks the highest point of the entire Venediger Höhenweg, which connects the alpine bases on the south side of the group to form a wonderful chain.

If you dare, climb from here to the Tulpspitze, it's worth it!

the Zopetscharte 2958m is the transition from the ice hut to the Johannishütte. It is part of the Venediger Höhenweg. The high alpine transition coming from the Eisseehütte is partially insured with a rope. A sure-footed walk is a prerequisite for crossing from Timmel into Dorfertal. You should also inform yourself about the current conditions in the TRV or at the hut owners before the inspection.

We hiked from the Eisseehütte to the Johannishütte. Since the rope-secured passage is ascended from the direction of the Zopertscharte (easy climbing up), we found it easier. We also found the descent to the Johannishütte easier. The difficulty is difficult to classify. We are mountain hiking experienced and passed the passage well in bright sunshine. I without a climbing harness, my wife (not 100% free from giddiness) with me to calm down.
