Small mining church located on the north-west side of the market. It houses the "Annaberger Krippenweg", an exhibition of large hand-carved figures. The figures are very lifelike and well worth a visit. Admission is free, but if you want to take photos, you have to pay for a photo permit.

The mountain church is used, among other things, for the mountain services of the miners' and brotherhood "Glück auf" Frohnau e.V., which take place every year on the second Saturday in January, and for various other events. The mountain church is open to visitors all year round. The so-called "Annaberger Krippenweg" is presented in the mountain church. It is a nativity scene made by miners, which consists of several large wooden figures. They should show the connection between mining in the Ore Mountains and the Christian faith. For example, the figure of Joseph in the nativity scene is symbolized by a miner. Other figures also come from the world of mining in the Ore Mountains. There are also figures from the life of a Wilhelminian town in the Ore Mountains. In the final state, the “Annaberger Nativity Path” should include 31 figures.

The mountain church St. Marien is unfortunately somewhat in the shadow of the St. Annen church. The pretty church and the "Annaberger Krippenweg" are absolutely worth a visit.
