Also in Oct still to be recommended. Less people, less stress and the lakes are just great. I recommend Tour H. If you only see the big waterfall, missed the best.

The Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest national park in south-eastern Europe and was one of the first natural monuments ever to be included in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage. It is located in the hilly karst area of Central Croatia, about 55km as the crow flies from the Adriatic coast, is world-famous for its cascading lakes and still houses all the species of animals in the sanctuary, which were before the settlement of people in this area. Through the untouched nature there are also animals like brown bears, which have already been eradicated elsewhere in Europe.

A natural fairy tale, which you should visit due to the tourist crowds but outside the main season. Furthermore, one should (if possible) take into account in the planning, that it has previously rained vlt for a long time, because then the waterfalls are all the more magnificent!

The Plitvice Lakes were declared a national park in 1949. They are known by the Karl May movie "The Treasure of the Silver Lake".
The park can be visited on various routes (A - K), which are different in length. I recommend Route H from entrance 2. We needed about 5.5 hours in total.
