The Beltheimer chapel - a small, simple building made of slate quarry stone - is affectionately called "Helljeheisje" in the village. It is a popular place to rest or retreat after a long hike or a long walk. In summer, two wooden benches in front of the chapel invite you to rest or chat.
Unfortunately, little is known about its formation. It is historically certain that the present building is the successor of a chapel burned down to its foundations in 1830. The founder of the chapel (s) is a Beltheimer family called "Reuter". However, we do not know if this family donated only the second chapel or both. The family must have been resident in the village for a longer period and was probably very well-off with agricultural and forest land. In 1952, as part of the land consolidation, the land registry property at the chapel was transferred from the Reuter community to the local community of Beltheim. The year "1853" on the gable side of the chapel (probably the journeyman piece of a blacksmith apprentice from Beltheim) is considered the year of construction of the (second) chapel.
Since 1986, the chapel has been extensively renovated inside and outside and the roof with natural slate in "old German cover" restored. In 1996, the "new" holy house was solemnly blessed.
In front of Helljeheisje stands a (stylized) tombstone for Josef Lippert, the "peddler of the Hunsrück".
