The photographed building is the promenade hall in the spa park, built in 1926 in the Neoclassical style. The "House of Gifts" (comprising the Wiesenthal Gifts company) is just one of several shops in the west wing of the promenade hall.

The drinking and promenade hall was built in 1926 in the form of a Greek temple with Ionic columns. The adjacent corridors with rows of shops replicate ancient Doric-style halls. The building represents the origins of spa treatments in ancient Greece and the young democracy of the Weimar Republic, with a nod to the architecture of Athens in the 5th century BC.
