The Ardeche: wonderful landscape, green mountains, white rocks, bright beaches, cool water and the highlight of the Pont D'Arc ...
The other side: it's going down hundreds or thousands. The beaches populate crowds. Everyone wants to go to the Pont D'Arc. Rest or being alone: impossible.

The Ardeche is very easy to navigate by canoe or SUP. There are countless rental stations and campsites. It has to be pretty crowded here, especially in summer. At the beginning of October it was very relaxed and only a few people were out on the paths and the river.
