The Seidenröther Warte is one of 4 waiting rooms around Steinau an der Straße. Built in the 14th century, they served as an early warning system outside the city walls. However, the control room is a replica from 2006.

From the Seidenröther lookout point you have a beautiful view of the Kinzig valley and the village of Seidenroth.

For your rest there is a set of seating with two benches and a table in the immediate vicinity of the tower.

Only 450 m from the Seidenröther waiting room you have the opportunity to stop off at the Seidenröther Hessenstubb (hessenstubb.de), where you can eat and drink deliciously.

This lookout point is no longer in its original historical location: During the (re)construction (2006?) it was moved here to the Eselsweg because the historical idea was to have visual contact from lookout point to lookout point and to the watchtower of the castle.
But in the meantime everything has grown over again: as a stranger to the area, I couldn't see any of the other waiting rooms, and certainly not the castle.
