Linking the German border to Liège, Line 38 is one of the oldest and legendary sections of the RAVeL, which crosses the groves of the Pays de Herve. It was voted "the best European greenway" in 2021. Here, the old Hombourg station takes you back in time and immerses you in the atmosphere of the 1950s. In addition to the banquet hall and an apartment luxury vacation in the station, you can even stay in the old train cars!

The former lamp storage room was converted into the kitchen. It is fed in the fully equipped Postwagon. Showers and toilets are located in the sanitary block of the station from 1895. On a green area you can light a campfire and play boules. For nostalgics and those who want to experience something unique and unusual: get in the car!

The old station and the old trains do not belong together. The old station is a catering establishment with friendly owners. You can find the opening hours (and more) of the establishment at lagarehombourg.eu

The collection of old trains is the result of the work of a group of passionate people who restore and preserve historically valuable old trains. Not easy, which is why they also ask for a small contribution. Even if you are not passionate about all the details about the uniqueness of the collection, it is very worthwhile to admire this heritage and share in the passion of the volunteers. That said, it is also a pity to note that these people are plagued by theft and vandalism. Anyone who destroys fences to destroy old trains is really not right in the head.
