The main market of Trier is the central and one of the largest squares in the city.

The central square of Trier city center and still the location of the weekly market with many stands. From spring to autumn as well as the pedestrian zone to Porta Nigra, it is mostly hopelessly overcrowded. If you want to enjoy the history here in peace, it is best to come on Sundays in winter (or with a mask during the current Corona lockdown).
