The patronage of this cathedral in Moulins, dedicated to the Annunciation (or, in another spelling, the Annunciation of Mary), refers to one of the many feast days in honor of the Virgin Mary. The Lonzat is a "gentilhommière," a noble estate typical of the Bourbonnais region, the former economic and agricultural epicenter of the area. It is a building completed in the 19th century, adorned with a magnificent garden.
