Even the drive along the practically single-lane road is an adventure. There are only a few places to stop. However, the large parking lot is a good starting point for hiking into the gorge (warning: only experienced hikers can reach the bottom!) and to the hermitage.

From the larger parking lot to the south, you can at least get to the entrance in the evening, with views into the gorge. From the north, the path ends at the end of the tunnel...

The Galamus gorges are classified and protected. They were dug over the centuries by the Agly river, and to this day constitute a precipice several tens of meters deep.
