The charming Église de l'Assomption (Church of the Assumption) is located in the heart of the village, directly on the EuroVelo 6 cycle route. The parish church originally dates back to the 12th century. The church in Palinges was largely rebuilt in the 19th century in the Neo-Romanesque style. Add to that: 1 fridge and freezer, microwave, swimming pool, bar, small restaurant, small grocery store and tent rentals in case of bad weather.

History directly at the original location

This simple grocery store, where you can also eat on the terrace, is a place like no other: Romaric, its owner, is its soul. He welcomes you with a warm and authentic “Welcome” as soon as you open the door. And his grocery store is the RV of all the people around. And there are numerous travelers in this place, whether by bike on the canal, or on foot (the pilgrims of the Way of St Francis of Assisi). Meeting Romaric, and his sense of service and presence for others, brightened my day.
