Surrounded by two branches of the Saale River, a green oasis of tranquility unfolds at the southern tip of Peißnitz Island. Gimritz Park is particularly surprising for its rich variety of trees: 200-year-old pedunculate oaks stand alongside ginkgo, plane, pine, and yew, while in spring, catalpa, cucumber magnolia, and tulip tree bloom magnificently in competition with each other.

Halle's market square is one of the city's most important meeting places and event venues. With its typical irregular shape, the 14 intersecting streets, and not least its characteristic silhouette – the "Five Towers" – the square not only provides the setting for the daily fresh market but is also a tram hub and a popular stage for special events.

The Swan Bridge connects the popular tourist destination of Peißnitz Island with Kröllwitz and Heide-Süd. Below the bridge (on Peißnitz Island), the Peißnitz Express train has a stop and a level crossing.

Run before 10am and you have a good run... :)

Top of Rothehornpark, always invites you to take a break, beautiful view of the Elbe.

It's also worth a walk! It connects great parts and there are some nice paths around the city.
