Nossen train station, once the start/end of the Zellwaldbahn Freiberg 👉 Nossen. Perhaps the RB 110 Meißen - Nossen - Döbeln - Leipzig train will soon run here again.

On the road between the former Obergruna-Bieberstein train station and the lost place of the leather fiber factory, you can find a strange relic from the time when the narrow-gauge railway steamed through the Mulde valley from Wilsdruff towards Nossen. A short section from Reinsberg to approximately the A4 motorway was still used for freight transport, even after the rest of the line had been discontinued. In 1973, this final section was closed, and the railway embankment gave way to a road. On the side of the road on the Mulde side, you can find a railing made from the very same tracks that once served as the narrow-gauge railway line. On the one hand, this is probably a sacrilege for die-hard railway enthusiasts, but on the other hand, it's also fortunate that the tracks have been preserved for posterity in this way.

The narrow-gauge railways in the "Wilsdruff Network" have long been out of service, and the tracks have been dismantled. The viaduct of the former Wilsdruff/Nossen narrow-gauge line near Zollhaus over the Freiberger Mulde River is still there and, judging by the ravages of time, is in fairly good condition. Any railway enthusiast will be thrilled by this sight. The western end of the bridge is on private property, which should not be entered out of respect for the owner. However, on the east side of the Mulde River, you can get close to the railway bridge to admire the steel structure. After the stone bridge over the Wilde Sau River in Wilsdruff, the Obergruna-Bieberstein railway bridge, as it is officially called, is probably the best-preserved major bridge on this narrow-gauge line. Entering the viaduct is prohibited.

Entrance to the old Adolphstollen mine in the Zellwald forest. It's a bit of a trek to get there. A signpost points the way, but as you walk through the woods, the path becomes increasingly natural, making it difficult to follow. Info: The entrance is now closed by a new door. It's located below the pond dam, to the right of the stream.

This bridge is closed to pedestrians and cyclists (as of January 25, 2025) and there is no longer any possibility to walk over it and of course it is not stated anywhere how long or why this bridge is closed but obviously it is said to be dilapidated in other words all walks that include this bridge are invalid until further notice
