Less than 5 minutes from Meissen's city center, you'll find absolute peace and quiet here. Especially in summer, it's pleasantly cool here—which helps on the climb to Proschwitz Castle.

Going downhill here seems to roll by itself. There are a few potholes in places, but otherwise the road quality is good or very good, and traffic is also limited.

The short, deeply cut valley has always been called this. It runs through the area from Proschwitz in the direction of Zscheila to Fürstengraben. The name Heiliger Grund goes back to a legend about Benno (Bishop of Meissen), who was associated with the valley.
