Even today, one can see, for example at the house at Petersstraße 46 or at Pfarrgasse 18, how Freiberg citizens publicly professed their commitment to the Reformation of the Church as early as the 1520s. The monument consists of a rectangular stone standing on a pedestal. A triangular gable crowns the top. It dates from 1910 and commemorates the chemist Clemens Winkler (1838-1904), who discovered, among other things, the element germanium. Beautiful bridge near the confluence of the Flöha and Zschopau rivers

The platforms were modernized between April 2020 and December 2023. Elevators have been in operation since December 2023, and after years of discussion, Flöha station is now barrier-free. The station now has three covered platforms, each with two platform tracks and a siding. The platforms are accessed via a pedestrian tunnel running across the station from the entrance building to the town center.
