One asks oneself - Why tank ban? I found the answer after a short research on the net: In 2016, two Dutch armored cars were traveling in the region and obviously wanted to cross the Löbau water here - it happened as it had to: The wooden planks couldn't withstand the military vehicles and broke away. The damage was so severe that the bridge had to be closed until further notice. This annoyed farmers and hikers, who could no longer cross the Löbau water. The damage was settled by the Dutch staff administration and this sign has been there ever since...
