The Hochstein remains one of the most impressive rock formations in the Palatinate, especially since it is less obscured by forest than others. From the top, there is a fantastic view (for climbers).

An unremarkable crossroads with a "heavenly" name.

Five paths lead in different directions; there is a rest area within sight of this intersection.

"This small chapel, complete with a bench, stands at the edge of Erfweiler, opposite a small parking area. Locals simply call it 's'Kapellche' (the little chapel), and it's always beautifully decorated. The Stations of the Cross begin here, leading up to the forest chapel 'Maria Himmelspforte' (Mary's Gate of Heaven) on the Winterberg (better known as 'Winterkirchel')."

This beautiful trail above the Langenbach valley is approximately 1 km long. It does not begin at the Erfweiler Waterfall, but rather near the Eibach spring (although on the other side of the valley) and ends before the Erfweiler Kneipp pool.

No spectacular view of the Queich/Stephanstal valleys (quite limited in summer due to fallen leaves), but a lovely bench situated on a slight rise above a very nice hiking trail. According to the metal plaque, it was donated by "Ina & Patric." Many thanks for that!
