An anti-tank ditch is an artificially constructed, deep and wide obstacle, often filled with water or with steep walls, which served to stop the advance of enemy tanks in the First and especially the Second World War (e.g. Westwall).

Historically rather so-so - not really interesting as a destination - but it's located on a beautiful stretch of cycle path 👍🏻

White storks in autumn, because of the mild climate they have given up migrating to Africa. This means they have the best breeding grounds to choose from in early summer before the competition from the south returns.

There is an anti-tank ditch on both sides of the path, slightly set back on one side.

My prayers were answered. The seating was replaced.
