Dieppe is a charming port town with a rich maritime past. Enjoy a stroll through its centre to visit the castle (which contains the town museum), the church of Saint Rémy and the seafront.

Arques-la-Bataille Castle is a 12th-century castle that has witnessed many battles and sieges. You can explore the ruins of the fortress and enjoy panoramic views of the valley and the village below. The castle is surrounded by a deep moat that can be explored on a sculpted path. Arques-la-Bataille Castle is a great destination for history and nature lovers.

Unfortunately not accessible due to restoration work, but there is a good walking path around it (as of 07/24). From this you have a great view of the surrounding area.

The Fontaine aux Dames wash house, purchased by the town hall in 1998, has undergone a complete restoration. The original building being in ruins, a reconstruction was carried out according to a Brayon washhouse model in the year 2000: low brick wall, oak frame and roofing in traditional local tiles. The wash house houses a ceramic work “the monument to the unknown lover” which we owe to the Brayon artists Jacques and Juliette Damville; This monument pays tribute to women for the role they played during the First World War.

This red phone booth is a unique and charming place to visit. It is located near the town hall and has been transformed into a book exchange by a group of young volunteers. You can flip through the books, pick up the one you're interested in and leave the one you've finished reading. It's a good way to share your passion for literature with other hikers and locals. You can also enjoy the view of the Château d'Arques-la-Bataille, a medieval fortress which dominates the town and the Arques valley. The castle was the scene of several historic battles, including the famous Battle of Arques in 1589, in which Henry IV defeated the Catholic League.
