Le Châteu de Lucenier, construction began in the 13th century. This small castle and the castle chapel are located in the Lieu-Dit Lucenier, belonging to La Chapelle-au-Mans. Until the French Revolution it belonged to the De Montmorillon family, who were able to buy it back in 1829. It is still family property. At the time of construction, the Duke of Burgundy required his vassals to build fortified houses and castles to protect the borders of his duchy. This was the time of the struggle for the throne of France against the Duke of Orleans. La Chapelle-au-Mans was then located directly on the border of the Duchy of Burgundy and the Kingdom of France. The castle is privately owned and cannot be visited.

At this lock, which has since been closed, you can see how narrow the barges on the Rigole de l'Arroux (Canal de Neuzy) must have been. A few steps further on, you can also see from the bascule bridge and the canal bridge over the Bourbince that they must have been very small barges at best.

This hollow path in the undergrowth, which further on, enters the forest is typical of the preservation of natural spaces which still prevails in the Morvan.

Mount Dardon with an altitude of 506 meters is an isolated eminence that can be spotted from afar. From its summit you have a spectacular view of Mont Beuvray, Uchon, and Mont Saint-Vincent. On a clear day, the view goes east to Mont Blanc. A former Gallic oppidum, the site also revealed a 10th century chapel. The orientation tables found on site are very practical.

There is a small carp pond and a slightly larger fishing lake on site. Plenty of seating available to watch the anglers.
