The Moselsteig Trail, or rather, the dream path, continues from the restaurant/café to the left, over a small bridge... Caution ⚠️ the path goes uphill to the left!!! DO NOT go straight ahead!!! Otherwise, the trail ends on a very, very steep slope with lots of loose scree.

The collegiate church combines many architectural styles. The original building was Romanesque and was extended. Inside there are altars with figurative depictions. The main altar is made of terracotta and is well worth seeing. The history of the impressive complex is interesting. The monastery garden is also worth a visit.

With its eight residential towers up to 35 meters high, its bay windows, roofs, half-timbering and spiers, it is the epitome of a knight's castle for the spontaneous observer.⚔️ It sits majestically in a side valley of the Moselle near Mayen. This impressive sight even adorned the 500 DM note for several decades.
