I also recommend hiking this place as a tour. Because this passage outside the walls also offers many fascinating views of the place and river landscape.

After visiting the village and climbing up to the castle, I recommend returning from outside the village along the Serein on one side and the rest of the ramparts and its many towers on the other. There are still an impressive number of towers, some modified but still beautiful.

Charming little hamlet

Plan your schedule to make a stop here, their goat cheeses are a delight for an affordable price. I highly recommend!

Small detour to make absolutely on the "tour of the Serpentine" to observe the village and its surroundings.

The "Serpentine" loop is a must do, it is equipped with very well done explanatory panels which give an extra dimension to the walk.
