The Dürkheimer Riesenfass is the largest wine barrel in the world. The barrel is so big that it can accommodate an entire restaurant with 2 floors and more than 400 seats; in figures, 1.7 million liters fit in it. It was built in 1934 by master cooper Ernst Keller with almost 200 fir trees from the Black Forest.
