The monument honors the famous Cologne singer-songwriter and carnival composer Willi Ostermann for his contribution to Rhineland culture and musical tradition. It is a place of remembrance and appreciation for his works.

The parish church of St. Remigius in Königswinter has been rebuilt and expanded several times over the centuries. Parts of the building originally date back to the Middle Ages, and various architectural styles such as Romanesque and Gothic are visible.

A very beautiful, rocky and root-strewn path, part of the Red Wine Hiking Trail. From the trail, you have outstanding views of the Ahr Valley and the village of Dernau.

It is not a natural cave and just an artificially expanded tunnel.

In summer, it is advisable to choose an early start time, as the sun will accompany you for most of the tour.

Hikers are welcome guests at the Krausberghütte, located on the mountain of the same name above Dernau, just a stone's throw from the Krausberg Tower (if interested, see https://www.komoot.com/de-de/highlight/72123). It is run by the local chapter of the Eifel Association – a volunteer organization. Those planning a stop here should check the opening hours beforehand.

A striking point in the Ahreifel is undoubtedly the Krausberg above Dernau. It is not only known for a hut run by the local branch of the Eifel Association, but also for the Krausberg Tower.
