The tapestry is considered one of the most important medieval works of art in Europe.

Very old cathedral in Norman and Gothic style. Can be visited and is worth seeing.

A very beautiful castle complex from the early 17th century, which thankfully survived all the revolutions and wars unscathed. The castle can be visited as part of a guided tour, which always starts on the hour. There is also a museum on the history of ballooning. Unfortunately, the castle is currently completely covered in scaffolding for renovation work.

Bayeux Cathedral is a cathedral in the city of Bayeux, Normandy, France. It is a national monument and the seat of the Bishop of Bayeux and Lisieux. The cathedral is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and is a good example of Norman Gothic. Construction of the cathedral began in the 12th century and was completed in the 15th century with the completion of the crossing tower. The cathedral is famous for the Bayeux Tapestry, an embroidered tapestry depicting the Norman conquest of England in 1066.
