The anteroom was open so that one could take a look inside.

Brakel Town Hall dates back to the 13th century. The entrance was even further back then. Today, the openwork stepped gable with quatrefoils is particularly striking. On the south side, there is an ornately designed Renaissance-style portal from 1573, with a basket arch and decorated ashlar frame – an impressive example of the architectural skill of this period.

A very beautiful building, where architectural styles from different eras blend harmoniously together. The other buildings surrounding the market square are also gems that create a cozy atmosphere.

Pretty stone bridge that spans the Nethe at this point. Super idyllic in the middle of the countryside.
