On well-developed bike paths, you can cycle through landscapes of forests, heathlands, and small, hidden forest lakes. The fresh air and proximity to Lübeck make it a lovely destination for a day trip.

Idyllic, circular, small forest lake in beautiful untouched nature. The bank is unfortunately a bit dilapidated, but still a nice place for a rest.

A lost place on the edge of the forest, set back somewhat. The pipes and boilers are not as dilapidated as the building, unfortunately.

Peat was once extracted here. There are a few benches by the lake to linger.

Can easily be overlooked in the undergrowth!

My guess is that this is an old boiler house from GDR times. The boilers from the EKM - plants are well preserved and date from 1962.
