The Valkmusa National Park, established in 1996, is best known for its unique moorland landscape, as seen here. It is home to various bird species, including the crane, osprey, redshank, ptarmigan, and wood bunting. Additionally, migratory birds use the national park as a resting area.

A path about one kilometer long leads from Kukuljärvi to this large cave. The name of the cave goes back to the cowherd Jaakko Branni. After the narrow entrance, you can enter the cave, which is about five meters long.

This Finnish shelter, known as Laavu, is perched on a gentle rise overlooking the serene waters of Lake Kukuljärvi. The open-front wooden hut offers stunning lake views and features a covered fireplace, making it an ideal spot to relax and unwind in nature. A truly wonderful place to rest!

The Moronvuori Day-Use Hut is located along the Moronvuori Hill Trail in Valkmusa National Park. The hut is available for daytime use as a resting spot. Inside, you will find a wood-burning stove and a supply of dry firewood. Additionally, there is a fire pit in front of the hut.

The Santalahti Nature Trail winds through narrow forest paths before opening up to a stunning rocky coastline. Along the way, you'll be surrounded by dense woodland, eventually emerging to breathtaking views of the sea and numerous small islands. The scenery is truly picturesque, but caution is needed—some rocks drop steeply into the cold waters below.
