On the market square there is not only the town hall, but also a good, recommendable restaurant.

Looks abandoned, but is probably still in operation.

Construction began as early as 1250; the nave with its vaults dates from the second half of the 14th century, and the choir's circular wall and the tower base also date from this period. The church was mentioned as completed as early as 1337. In 1529, the first Protestant pastor came to Wesenberg, marking the arrival of the Reformation. During the great town fire of 1706, the church burned, and all five bells melted. The clock was buried under rubble, and the organ was damaged. Only the walls and the vault survived, and so the reconstruction of St. Mary's Church in Wesenberg began in 1707, and the rectory was rebuilt in 1708.

A little further on, the sun shines through the trees. Looking around us, the moss shines beautifully in this light. We reach a family resort. Children and parents are having fun here. We walk parallel to it and after a short stretch we reach the Wolf Trail. Information boards show the way. We walk along the forest road and turn at the intersection towards the national park and therefore also towards the Great Labussee. The trees are now high around us. When we reach the national park we get a brief glimpse of the water.

Not far from there we reach St. Mary's Church, built in the 13th century, but unfortunately closed due to illness. Next to it is a natural monument, the huge old court linden tree, around 600 years old with a circumference of over 8 meters. An impressive tree. https://youtu.be/ZlRezQ-rtKo

The war memorial commemorates those who fell in 1870 and 1871.

The trail explains the wolf's way of life and its history. Very well done and interesting for young and old.
