I will have to go back for the view, because the fog did not allow me any panorama, except to come face to face with the ibex, as surprised as I was, at the corner of the chairlift structure, at the summit! What a wonderful memory, before a descent made perilous because slippery due to the rain and fog!

You can also take the train from Villars-sur-Ollon to Bretaye station, which is close to where the trail starts. The loop can be walked in either direction, but clockwise is slightly easier. Beautiful mountain lake with lots of fish. The half a kilometer long hiking trail on the direct route south-east towards the hiking car park at 1795m is quite swampy in parts. Poles can be very useful, or you can easily bypass this section by taking the path onto the road a little further up the hill and walking the road to the car park. There is a restaurant on the opposite side.

The summit is at 2113m. Beautiful hiking trail along the ridge to the mountain station of Petit Chamossaire at 2035m.
