The Tsjummearumer Feart is a quiet, scenic waterway in Friesland, ideal for relaxing boat trips and exploring the surrounding nature.

The water tower, built in 1957, is 41 meters high and had a water reservoir of 515 m3. The tower is no longer used as a water tower. Since the spring of 2016, the tower functions as a hotel.

Leeuwarden's neoclassical station dates from 1864. Forty years later, the station hall was thoroughly renovated. The central risalite was replaced by a new building with a large six-part semi-circular window above entrance doors. The hall was decorated with tile tableaus, ceramic tiles with coats of arms and stucco work in the shape of locomotives.

The artists Albert Dedden and Paul Keizer (the Space Cowboys) created the blue dog with a lampshade in its mouth. That refers to homeliness: a ruthless dog waiting for you at home. The artists have created an image that is recognizable to everyone: a dog. The meter-high statue of a faithful four-legged friend forms the center of the Sminiaplein in Burgum.
