The church is no longer used as a religious building and its interior is largely empty. However, there is a good flyer about Winsum (also in German) explaining the town's attractions.

KinderBoekenHuis, a unique collection The KinderBoekenHuis in Winsum houses one of the largest collections of Dutch-language children's and youth books. A unique collection with more than 30,000 old children's books from the period 1770 to the present. The KinderBoekenHuis combines a museum, a library, a study area, a second-hand bookshop and a meeting place. Courses and workshops are also organised. Enthusiastic volunteers support our activities. They are happy to tell you about the special collections and gems from the collection. The collection was created because our founder, Toos Saal-Zuurveen, needed children's books for her thesis. That was in the 1980s. Since then, the flow of books has not stopped, because the collection is still supplemented by donations from all over the country. It is a special place of remembrance for young and old.

Lunch restaurant Delicious products, all local or from our own garden!! Recommended!! The church of Klein Wetsinge is located between Sauwerd and Winsum, with a beautiful view of the Reitdiep area. Visitors are welcomed by owner Mirte Tersteeg. The church from 1840 was restored to its former glory in 2014 and can now be rented for meetings, lectures, concerts and receptions. And dinners and cooking workshops are also excellent options. You can get acquainted with all the good things that the Wadden Sea and surrounding area have to offer in terms of culinary delights.
