The war memorial in Hunsel is a bronze statue of a man and a woman holding a child. The statue stands on a pedestal of white natural stone with bronze inscription. The memorial is 2 meters high and 1 meter wide. The inscription on the pedestal reads: 'BRIGADE PIRON 25-09-1944 HUNSEL FREE' The dates 1940-1945 are also inscribed on the front of the pedestal. On September 25, 1994, the original inscription was replaced by a bronze band around the pedestal. On this day, together with the Piron Brigade, the liberation of Hunsel and the surrounding area on September 25, 1944, was commemorated. The original inscription read: 'A lasting memory of the victims of World War II who fell in the present-day municipality of Hunsel'.

The Schouwsmolen (also: Schousmolen or Molen van Thorn) is a watermill on the Itterbeek, located at Margarethastraat 73 in Ittervoort. There has been a water mill at this location on the Itterbeek since 1252. The current water mill was built on this site in 1630, and the mill was enlarged in 1830. The current miller's house dates from 1822. In 1902 the water wheel was renovated, with the wooden axle being replaced by a metal one. An electric motor was also installed in 1928: The stream provided little water power. In 1966, the mill with yard, house and barn was sold to a private individual. He tried in vain to get the mill running again. In 2010, a plan was drawn up for the restoration of the mill. A wheel would be installed again in the form of a copy of the original wheel, which actually happened in 2015. As a result, the mill became operational again. Since then, grain has been milled again and electricity is also generated. The mill can also be visited.

The war memorial in Hünsel was erected in memory of all fellow citizens who lost their lives in the war during the occupation years.
