現在のラール橋は、コンクリートの台座に設置された鉄製の橋で、1947年9月に架設されました。以前は1932年に建設された高いコンクリート橋がありましたが、1940年5月11日にオランダ軍が撤退する際に爆破されました。ウィルヘルミナ運河は、王妃にちなんで名付けられた最初のオランダの運河であり、前世紀初頭に遡ります。建設は1910年に始まり、1923年にウィルヘルミナ運河全体が船舶交通に開放されました。

A great stop for a classic cup of coffee and delicious apple pie. The terrace is lovely and inviting, with a charming garden. The prices are reasonable. A cup of coffee and apple pie cost €5.50. NOTE: The Peel Palace is closed from May 1st to the end of September. Open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
