Tongelaar Castle is a medieval castle complex that, in its current form, incorporates elements from various periods. The castle stands on a strategic elevation and is surrounded by water features and old farmstead structures that are part of the historic estate. It was first mentioned in the 14th century and has been renovated and fortified several times since then. The buildings, courtyard, and moats clearly reflect its former fortified function and its later agricultural role within the estate. Today, the castle serves as a visitor center and restaurant, with views of the surrounding lanes and fields.

Unfortunately, the road is paved in its entirety. It has become wider, so sharing the space with other road users is not a problem.

The north beach of Heeswijkse Plas is a recreational beach with a sunbathing lawn and is designated as an official swimming area. Right next to the beach is a nature reserve that you can explore by bike or on foot.

The Kraaijenbergse Plassen form an extensive lake area of over 400 ha. The lakes are located in the municipality of Land van Cuijk. The lakes have been created since 1968 by the extraction of industrial sand, gravel and clay. You can cycle and walk around the lakes and there are many water sports to practice. There are several catering establishments around the lakes.

Oct 2024 - This section is being worked on hard. One of the hard working gentlemen couldn't say if it will remain a combination of asphalt and gravel.

You can really go fast on the wide gravel path. Enough space for 4 bikes next to each other. Better to cycle here than on the very narrow cycle path that runs next to it.
