The mill weir of the Rodenberg domain is also part of this mill landscape. The complex with the weir and mill canal is structurally interesting and surprisingly well preserved. The salt production facilities have not survived. Until 1859 there were two graduation towers and a saltworks on the railings of the domain. The brine pumped from Soldorf was processed into salt and for a long time had to cover the entire salt requirement of the Hessian county of Schaumburg.
