The Wereldmuseum Amsterdam (known as Tropenmuseum between 1950 and 2023), founded in 1864 as the Koloniaal Museum, is a Dutch ethnographic museum on the Linnaeusstraat in Amsterdam. It has a large collection of ethnographic artefacts from tropical and subtropical areas, especially from the former Dutch overseas territories. Until 2014 it was part of the Royal Tropical Institute, today the museum is part of the National Museum of World Cultures.
