美しい乗り物

現在の駅舎は、H.G.J.シェリング氏の設計で、1926年に当時のブッスム副市長ポール・ブランドによって開設されました。第一次世界大戦後の資材不足のため、1914年から1925年の間は仮設駅がありました。現在の島式ホームは1917年に建設されました。

ここでは、道はフェヒト川に沿って曲がりくねっています。魅力的なWeespと特徴的な風車を見渡せます。早朝か日没頃に来てください。そうすれば、光が最も美しく、すべてが本当に生き生きとします。

Along the Vecht River near Weesp stand two historic windmills: De Vriendschap Windmill and d’Eendragt Windmill. De Vriendschap was built in 1900 after an earlier windmill was destroyed by lightning and still grinds grain. d’Eendragt is older and has served various purposes over the centuries, including serving as a corn mill, a shell mill, and a sawmill. These windmills are a reminder of the time when Weesp was a center for beer breweries and gin distilleries that required large quantities of ground grain. Of the dozens of windmills that once stood here, these two are the most famous remnants. The windmill on the right is De Vriendschap Windmill, where you can often buy flour and baking mixes in the windmill shop on Saturdays.

You'll cycle along the Naardermeer lake. In several places, you can see large grazers used by Natuurmonumenten to manage the vegetation. If you have time, stop for a spot of birdwatching (this area is a bird paradise).

The origin of this boulder is not entirely clear. However, you can easily test for yourself on site whether it actually bleeds when you prick it.

The carillon is a four-octave, hand-played carillon consisting of 47 bells. It was made in 1974 by the Royal Bell Foundry Petit and Fritsen (Aarle-Rixtel). The carillon was originally intended to be placed on the roof of the town hall, but due to structural objections, it was decided to build a separate tower; this was constructed at the same time as the administrative wing. The design was by the same architect as the town hall. Carillonneur Leen 't Hart, then director of the Carillon School in Amersfoort, played at the opening. On market days, the carillon is played by hand; on other days, it is computer-controlled every hour.
