The Pietersbrug is a national monument wooden drawbridge, consisting of two sprits or arms, in the North Holland city of Edam. The bridge spans the Oorgat and is located between the two sides of the Voorhaven. The bridge was included in the national monument register on 15 November 1976 under number 14402.

Edam is a small town. Very well maintained and I particularly liked the traditional cheese market. There are canals and bridges everywhere and some are so narrow that small cars can barely drive over the drawbridge. Edam is also interesting because the bus to Amsterdam goes from there and from Edam you can get to Amsterdam by bus in 20 minutes.

Cheese production nicely explained, from the cows in the pasture to the cheese store, expensive industrial cheese at hearty prices for tourists, if there are more than two buses outside better look again later
