In the Waaggebouw on the Waagplein in Alkmaar you will find the Dutch Cheese Museum. There you can see that cheese and butter are really made from cow's milk. The museum houses a collection of historical objects, paintings and film and visual material. A fun treasure hunt has been set out for children. They learn all about cheese making in the past on the farm and today in ultra-modern dairy factories.
