Along the route, you'll encounter a wide variety of polder windmills. These windmills were designed to pump water from low-lying areas and thus keep the land dry. The vast majority of the mills around the Kagerplassen lakes are characteristic hollow post mills with a cube-shaped upper house.

De Googermolen is a ground sailor near Roelofarendsveen, in the municipality of Kaag en Braassem, in the Dutch province of South Holland. The mill was built in 1717 for the drainage of the Googerpolder. During an OMNI skate trip we passed this mill.
