This morning was unbelievable! The two of us wanted a roll and a coffee each, and one of the ladies said, "Yes, of course, come in, there's plenty of room." Then she came across as a real doormat, saying, "Absolutely not, we're out of rolls!" And this was at 10 a.m.! 👎👎

Since there are two windmills in Martfeld, this one is the "Feldmühle" (Field Mill), located a bit outside the village (in a field). In the center of the village, however, you'll find the "Fehsenfeld Mill"—also a gallery-style windmill.

Delicious cakes in the farm café and a wide selection of seasonal agricultural products, many of which are home-grown, jams, and much more, can be purchased here in a beautiful setting.

The Stührmühle underwent a visual renovation last year. It's always worth a visit on Mill Day, Whit Monday. The mill is open then, offering information, food, and drinks.

The five bays in the main nave of the church have a cross-ribbed vault supported by octagonal pillars, while the narrow side aisles are only indicated. The rectory next door is also a listed building and serves as a parish hall and parish office.

The selection of cakes and tarts is great.
