A fantastic cycling route all around. There's plenty of beautiful scenery and information panels. Several locks are located along the way, and there are plenty of nice places to sit. With a bit of luck, you might even spot deer 🦌 in the distance.

A fantastic cycling route all around. There's plenty of beautiful scenery and information panels along the way. Several locks are located on the route, and there are plenty of pleasant places to sit. With a bit of luck, you might even spot deer 🦌 in the distance. The ferry landing in Gräpel offers a lovely crossing to the other side. There's lots of information available near the ferry landing, so a visit is highly recommended. There are also great places to sit and a shelter.

The cycle path on the Oste is easy to cycle by bike. However, I was faced with the decision at Ostendorfer Schiffdamm: Continue along the meadow path with tall grass or turn left onto Ostendorfer Schiffdamm. I drove: Ostendorfer Schiffdamm, Ostendorfer Straße, 1st path on the right to the cycle path on the dike. It was a little longer but ok!

On the Oste there are beautiful cycle paths that offer a view of the river again and again. River crossings with the Pram ferries in Brobergen and Gräpel are particularly recommended.

This small sand pit near Hechthausen even has a sandy beach and invites you to take a dip in the cool water during a bike tour. You will also find the Geesthof holiday park with a campsite, holiday homes and many offers in nature.
