シュタインホーフは、ニーダーザクセン州バート・ミュンダー・アム・ダイスターにある歴史的な邸宅です。この建物は市の重要な建造物の一つであり、現在は文化財保護の対象となっています。シュタインホーフはおそらく14世紀に建てられ、かつては貴族の邸宅として使用されていました。現在ではバート・ミュンダー市の行政庁が入居しています。 1583年にシュタインホーフはビュージング家の所有となり、この家系は長年にわたり市の歴史において重要な役割を果たしました。現在の邸宅は、古い建物の基礎の上に1721年に建てられました。特に目を引くのは、大きな二重階段と扉の上にある紋章を備えた入り口です。この建物はヴェーザー・ルネサンス様式と、シンプルな木組み様式を組み合わせています。 シュタインホーフは重要な文化財であり、バート・ミュンダーの長い歴史を偲ばせます。訪問者は、外観から歴史的な建物を鑑賞し、その特別な建築様式を賞賛することができます。シュタインホーフは、他の歴史的建造物とともに、バート・ミュンダーの旧市街の街並みを形作っています。

The Waldapotheke (Forest Pharmacy) in the Deister hills near Egestorf is a charming, traditional inn whose name derives from a historic shelter dating back to around 1900, which later became a forest inn – hence the somewhat unusual name "Waldapotheke" (Forest Pharmacy). The inn is a popular meeting place for hikers, cyclists, and day-trippers in the Deister hills and impresses with its regional cuisine, cozy atmosphere, and location directly on the hiking trail. The name plays on the word "Apotheke" (pharmacy) and the original rest stop where workers and visitors used to meet for a drink and refreshments – a kind of "prescription" in the forest that gave the inn its unique name.

On a snowshoe hike, the Wallmannhütte in the Deister hills becomes a quiet, almost magical place. Surrounded by snow-covered forest, it offers a welcome break where you can pause for a moment and enjoy the winter tranquility.

The Süntel Tower is temporarily closed. It may reopen on April 1st, 2026.

On October 16, 1962, two Republic F-84F Thunderstreak fighter jets crashed into the Hohe Egge mountain range in dense fog, killing both Belgian pilots. Thirty-nine years after the accident, a memorial was erected in Süntel to commemorate the two pilots. The memorial stands halfway up the Steinweg path between Falltal and the Süntel Tower – directly next to the crash site! It was erected by D. Hartmann of Hülsede.
