Kremmen is currently the terminus of the RB55 line. Following the successful expansion of the line with the various sub-projects, trains terminating in Kremmen can be extended to Neuruppin. A whole series of reconstruction measures are planned for Kremmen station. The existing platform, the so-called home platform, will be extended by 45 meters to a total of 145 meters. In addition, a further through track and a platform, also 145 meters long, will be built next to the existing track 1. This will be located between the future tracks 1 and 3 and is known in technical terms as an island platform. The extensive planning also addresses noise protection; noise protection measures are necessary, particularly in the northern part of Kremmen. In order to operate the planned additional service on the currently largely single-track line between Velten and Neuruppin, several sections are needed where trains can meet. One of these is the 6.7-kilometer section between Kremmen and Beetz-Sommerfeld. This will require the relocation of a second track, the modification of three level crossings, the expansion of four crossings, and the construction of two new signal boxes. The water tower has lost its function, but it seems that you can get a beautiful view of the surroundings from the top.
