8月 27, 2025, St.-Antonius-Kirche Eichwalde
The foundation stone for the church building was laid on August 25, 1912, and after only about a year of construction, the consecration took place on August 10, 1913. The rectory was ready for occupancy in 1914. The architect for both buildings was Clemens Lohmer from Leipzig. St. Anthony's Church in Eichwalde was built in the neo-Romanesque style as a Brandenburg brick building and is one of many churches that Lohmer designed for the Catholic Church and that were erected under his direction. Above the church rises the 33-meter-high bell tower, whose roof is covered with copper and whose spire is adorned with a cross. The lower central center of the tower facade forms a richly decorated round-arch portal under a triangular pediment with a Greek cross. The area below the round arch and above the double-sided entrance door is decorated with a mosaic depicting Christ blessing. Above it is inscribed: "COME TO ME, ALL YOU WHO ARE WEARY AND HEAVY DUTY." The Schmöckwitz Werder was first mentioned in a document in 1516. At that time, Elector Joachim I sold the Köpenick office to Georg Flans. The document states: "He may also hunt on the Schmeckwitz Werder; but if we or our heirs want to hunt there, he should stand still on the same Werder." In 1752, the spinning village of Gosen was founded on the northern tip of the Schmöckwitz Werder. Since 1891, the Oder-Spree Canal has divided the Werder into a larger southern half and a smaller northern half.

6月 1, 2024, Schloss Königs Wusterhausen
King Frederick William I, known as the "Soldier King", loved the town of Wusterhausen since his youth. Here he prepared for his reign, developed new ideas for a well-organized and economical state administration and began to build a respectable army, known as the "Tall Guys".

2月 4, 2024, Alt-Schmöckwitz Fire Station
The tram depot and the fire station were housed in this building, which is worth seeing. Today the neighborhood center “Alte Wache Schmöckwitz” of the local association Schmöckwitz e.V. is located here.

Or rather, to the GVZ, Kreuz Schönefeld freight transport center: "While for decades the main aim in Königs Wusterhausen was to load as much coal as possible from the train onto ships and then transport it by water to the Klingenberg power plant, the entire business model has changed since the end of coal handling in 2017: shipping now plays only a minor role in the port. The port sees itself more as a "trimodal terminal", so the goods come in and out via three transport routes: by rail, by ship and by truck." Excerpt from an article in MAZ 06.2023.

7月 30, 2023, Niederlehme Water Tower
The water tower, which was built in 1902 and can be seen from afar, consists of sand-lime brick, which the region around Niederlehme is known for quarrying. Until the 1960s it served to supply Niederlehme with drinking water. On the occasion of the Water Tower Festival in 2007, it was open to visitors once. Since then it is still unclear what function he could have in the future.

The Höllengrund is part of the Höllengrund-Pulverberg nature reserve, which stretches from Zeuthen to Wildau. It is 15 ha in size and was established in 1995. The area was formed as a meltwater channel during the Vistula glaciation. The resulting Ebbegraben can be clearly seen in Miersdorf up to the Erlenbruch. The area is partly looked after by the Nabu. Dry grass areas with sheep are kept low and various Benjes hedges have been created as a retreat for animals.

2月 9, 2023, Schmöckwitz Village Church
Our parish of Schmöckwitz is located in the lake area of the Dahme. The approx. 600 Christians live in the scattered settlements of our residential area - in Schmöckwitz and Karolinenhof, in Rauchfangswerder and Schmöckwitzwerder - south and north. The village church, built in 1799, stands roughly in the middle of the districts separated by forest and water. Our community is small. The church is small. Both suit each other. 2月 9, 2023, Alt-Schmöckwitz Fire Station
In the past, the tram depot and carriage depot of the BVG was located here in an adjoining building of the school. Unfortunately, it burned down along with the historic carriages. The Schmöckwitzer Insel School is housed in the large building complex. The students affectionately call her "Schmöckis".

12月 18, 2022, Schloss Königs Wusterhausen
Königs Wusterhausen Castle in the town of the same name south-east of Berlin in the state of Brandenburg became known as the preferred residence of the "soldier king" Friedrich Wilhelm I and as the location of his tobacco colleges. The listed building has been a museum since 2000. The two-storey, almost square structure was built up to the upper floor using fieldstone. It shows the type of “solid house” that was obligatory for the Renaissance. The north and south sides of the building show the gable fronts with steep and parallel gabled roofs that are characteristic of the palace. On the northern courtyard facade is the upstream stair tower, shifted from the central axis, with a slate-covered tail cap. In the ballroom of the castle there are about 40 paintings that the soldier king painted himself between 1735 and 1739 in Kossenblatt Castle and that only came to Wusterhausen in 1863. In front of the castle are the two cavalier houses, which together form the trapezoidal courtyard. Source: Wikipedia
